Over the years, Maritz has contributed $100,000 to support the Danforth Center’s important work. Beyond financial support, Maritz employees actively participate in essential awareness and fundraising groups such as Danforth’s Young Friends, a group of professionals aged 40 and under who raise friends and funds to advance the mission of the Danforth Center.
The Grow Challenge and Party with the Plants
The Grow Challenge, an annual event organized by the Danforth Center, concluded its Week of Giving with the highly anticipated Party with the Plants on September 27. Managed by the Young Friends, this in-person event provided an opportunity for all those involved in this important work to celebrate their fundraising achievements and showcase current research coming from the labs of several principal investigators and scientific teams. This year’s Grow Challenge was a resounding success, raising more than $135,000 that will further the Danforth Center’s impactful initiatives.
Among the attendees at the Party with the Plants was Drew Roznowski, Finance-Project Accounting Director within the Automotive Solutions group at Maritz and Danforth Center Young Friend as well as Larry Corley, Sr. Technical Trainer at Maritz and leader of the Maritz Green Team.
Special remarks were made by Matt Plummer, Chair of the Young Friends, at the event.
“I’d like to acknowledge our sponsor Maritz for hitting $100,000 in total cumulative support with this event sponsorship. Quite a milestone! Thank you, Maritz!”
