
The Situation
At a Maritz-hosted event, we wanted to give guests more control over their food choices, especially when it came to dietary restrictions, cultural sensitivities and personal preferences.
Solution
We added custom fields during registration to collect dietary needs and allergies from each guest. Using that information, we carefully designed menus for every function, including breakout sessions. Final menus were uploaded into our event mobile app, which all guests had on their phones.
On site, attendees could:
- Browse all food and beverage options for upcoming functions.
- Use a search feature to filter items based on their dietary needs.
- See a color-coded list of ingredients and find exactly where each food station was located.
Results
Attendees didn’t have to guess or worry at mealtimes. They knew their needs were taken seriously. The experience felt inclusive and thoughtful, and many of them shared how much they appreciated the extra care and attention.
