High-end European Incentive Wows Clients and Guests

The Situation

One of the largest foodservice distribution companies in the U.S. wanted to celebrate its 100-year anniversary with a once-in-a-lifetime customer appreciation trip. With deep Irish roots, the founders chose Ireland as the destination to honor their heritage and show guests they’re truly part of the family.

Solution

Maritz brought the vision to life with planning and thoughtful execution:

Accommodations:

  • Secured full buy-outs of two stunning Irish castles — Adare Manor and Dromoland Castle — to host 400 guests in style.

Luxury Travel Experience:

  • Managed bag pulls for all guests from two separate locations.
  • Coordinated a same-day transfer from the countryside to Dublin.
  • Partnered with Ireland’s national rail service to arrange a private three-car train.
  • Created a first-class experience with a red-carpet welcome featuring a traditional kilted bagpiper, white-glove service and a gourmet menu with locally sourced dishes.

Creative Arrival in Dublin:

  • Designed a fun, refreshing walk from the train depot to the hotel.
  • Guests were guided by Irish musicians and characters before boarding motorcoaches.

Brand Touches:

  • Incorporated the company’s centennial logo into signage, flags, backdrops and even in the beer foam at the Guinness Storehouse!
